The Choices we made and those we could have made!!!!
Have you ever wondered if your life could’ve gone differently if you would have ever chosen another path? Have you ever wanted to learn more about that alternative version of you, living in a parallel world defined by the choices you didn’t make, but could’ve made? is n't it lively to actually pick the choices you could have made but dint make.
I don’t know you yet, but I am sure you would with all ears. Because we are all, at some point in our lives, unsure of the decisions we made and the places they lead us to. Sometimes even, it is not so much decisions we had control over but rather just… life.
As far as my entire life is concerned, in the last 30 years , that i have lived so far ,I have no regrets about the decisions I made.Because even though i made a mistake, I would abide by it treating it as my decision.
I am currently reading The Witch of Portobello, a thought-provoking book by Paulo Coelho, one of my favourite authors. I read his books when I want to question my thoughts and reflect on life. In this book, we encounter Athena, a woman whose life is told by many people who knew her very well, or barely at all. Not a single chapter is told from Athena’s point of view. It’s simple really: she’s actually dead.
Once again, Coelho stirred my mind. What would people say of me if they were interviewed right now? Or more importantly, what would I like them to say in 2 years time? 10 years time? 20 years time?Unfortunately, We will spend half of our lives in spending what others will think, rather than what would make you happy. Hence, the choices you made become influential ,taking an acute deviation from the graph of what you actually want!!!Okay lets say,!!By 2018, who do I want to be? Someone who can only, truly be successful in my job Or someone who can define myself with my job title, Or someone who can be a responsible , admirable mother/wife/daughter in law
the above choices i made are influential to make someone happy but not me :)
What are my choices!!!!Who I really want to be? someone who finds another way to happiness, may be another definition. Or someone who can find the strength and patience and focus with no distractions, no procrastination and no self-sabotagingUltimately, what i want to say is, don’t ever let your life feel that if you could have made those choices, i would have been better or worst.Just do it and abide by it to make it successful. Its all in your hands :)
Face The Music!!!!

Nice blog...whatever you have written might be acceptable to any one if the person think being a self centric..but when u live a family life, when you are some one kids, when u are some one parents when u are someone wife or someone husband. You cannot be self centric. If in a family every person started being selfish.. Then there will be no family at all. We cannot be selfish, in a family.what if my parents has some expectation from me, they have lived all their life to fulfill each of my expectations. What if sometimes they have asked something..should I fulfill their expectations or should I think about me only?? Without a family a person always remain alone.in this phase of life when u r young can remain alone.. But when u r old...that time you would need some one
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your thoughts, however you have made a quite contrast statements.I have not mentioned being self centric rather a good self esteemed. I don't want to participate in the debate though. It's my own thought,no offense :)
